Injiri dress - the material and motifs are entirely hand woven on the loom, which takes an artisan almost one month to complete. The geometric design is inspired by traditional motifs and is connected to the local geography of this region.
Injiri, is a colloquial term meaning “real India”, historically stands for “real Madras checkered textiles” that were exported to west Africa in the 18th century.
Gentle hand wash and line dry.
This clothing line uses the finest cottons and silks and we recommend dry cleaning only to help preserve the material.
